I’ve been looking back on lockdown, when I first came down with Covid. It was a scary time. I dealt with some of that fear by working slowly on this linocut, inspired by amazing key workers.

The local nature reserve on a sunny morning a few days ago, before we were plunged back into winter.
Don’t get me wrong though, I’m not complaining about the snow, it meant it was a more interesting morning than normal.
Here are a couple of straight-out-of-iPhone shots.
Having been out in it (and probably get ill because of it), a lot of the snow was freshly frozen rain that turned into globules on contact, and was not nice when the wind came towards you. But when it picked up near the end, it was all snow flakes.
I think I'm right in that all of the snow in our winter season here has been outside the meteorological winter - first November, and now March.
Nope, snow was definitely not meant to be on the cards for a walk this morning - a bit of drizzle at 8am they said.
Currently we've got some relatively moderate, late-season snow falling.
I wasn’t expecting snow when I went out for a walk this morning.
Cherry Brave has joined the recent victims of British horse racing. They broke their neck during a race at Huntingdon on the 2nd of March
One for this weeks #TheCompoChallenge, there’s nothing like the temptation of a path you can’t access.
This week’s challenge from @hiro has felt a lot more difficult (you’d think leading / diagonal lines would be easy), here are a couple more attempts.
I quite liked the rising sun and the church spire just peaking through the woods in this one.
Visited #cheltenham library and despite quite a grand building, it seemed a small and without much space for sitting (though didn't check out if there was anything upstars). There was a nice children's library behind it with space for playing and lots of lego. #library #libraries
I quite liked the graphic nature of this shot, this isn’t my favourite tree though.
