@xk3 Indeed I do! My biggest use case is for my org-mode & org-roam notes. I frequently edit them from multiple devices, so something like #Syncthing or #Nextcloud isn't a great fit for this (due to possibilities of conflicts). git is.

But, when I'm ready to do a "git pull", I may have no Internet - be on a plane, or maybe one of the other machines in the cluster is powered down, etc.

This way, each machine receives diffs whenever it can, and I can effectively "git pull" when convenient.

I am a bit like these "extreme centrists" who ask you to disavow any controversial groups before you can talk about human rights.

For me, it is computers.

Before I allow you to do tech support in my presence, i want you to inform your customer or friend about the healthy alternatives to the disgusting fascist shit you are doing support for at the moment.

You now have to say #linux three times before you begin a sentence explaining #windows. #Nextcloud before #googlecloud etc.

#nextcloud made it possible for me to (self-)host my (and my family's) phone calendars, contacts, and even when pictures are taken, they get uploaded to our Nextcloud instance, and NOT to google/apple.

10/10, would recommend for any household looking to #degoogle.

Others include #searxng, has literally replaced all monolithic search engines, works great, no ads or AI

#mastodon, for my #activitypub based social network

#matrix for chatting with my social network

and also #KDE.

Trying to replace the outdated #nokia31 (no 4G VoLTE support) by the #pinephone ends badly after days and hours of trials☹️ .
#postmarketos (v25.06) as well as #mobian (03-Aug-2025) - both #phosh editions - fail miserably doing phone calls. The person being called is not able to hear anything most of the time. If your are lucky, it works just once after a reboot or if you are called. The #mobian edition is not even able to connect to my local #nextcloud instance for contacts. The #ubuntutouch edition does not support a PIN authentication for the #sim card so no further tests done.
Solution: Buy an el-cheapo Android phone to just do phone calls and synchronize the contacts wth the local nextcloud.😮
I don't want to spend hundreds of bucks just for phone calls.

This is annoying, because, for some old photos, I've may have lost the GPS Coordinates of it...
(Because, yeah, you trust #Nextcloud and need to free up some space on your phone)

Also it created lots of duplicates in #Immich (ie: Same photo, name, size... just different meta-data) Because the photos were automatically uploaded from the phone with GPS meta-data (by immich app), and I did manually uploaded from Nextcloud once

Just realized that, some of my (old) photos auto-uploaded with #Nextcloud Android APP don't have all EXIF meta-data. Most notably, the GPS coordinates are missing.

(After discovering few weeks ago that the auto-upload was broken)

Premesso che la configurazione è ok, il server di posta attivo e funzionante, quando faccio il test di invio continuo ad ottenere l'errore: AxiosError: Request failed with status code 400.

La ricerca online è avvilente, perché pare del tutto randomico sia l'errore che la risoluzione.

As someone who is every day in multiple video conferences I'm always surprised that hardly any tool is able to create user friendly invitations. Most of the time I get a wall of text in the meeting description, often with multiple links, and than I have to search for the right link to join the meeting.

The link to the meeting belongs to the "location" field! The description is for additional information such as the meeting agenda.

This is one of many reasons why I appreciate invitations via Nextcloud Talk so much. It is one of the few tools that does this correctly.
