Can anyone recommend a search alerts service that is foss and/or not run by Goog et al?

@dredmorbius something like a news aggregator where I can enter a search term and get an rss feed that is updated whenever there's a new article related to that term

@neonpaul I'm thinking of rsstail as the rss client, but not aware of anything that will generate an RSS feed from search. DDG does have an API though.
