Weird message in the Beeper window: "3 in 10 people say an organized inbox would make their mornings less stressful." So, are you telling me I shouldn't worry about having an organized inbox? Because it doesn't *feel* like that's what you're saying.
I know that 82% of stats are made up, but I've noticed recently stats that aren't very high being used to make a point: "24% of people thought {thing} was awesome, buy it now!". Have we stopped paying attention to the number? Anyone else seen this?
@Floppy I smell AI spam that does not comprehend the number has any meaning
@Slash909uk hm, yeah, good point; that feels like a distinct possibility in many of these cases.
@Floppy Seems we’ve fallen a long way from “8 out of 10 cats prefer it”. Definitely smacks of generic (and misled) “increase engagement by showing a number”.
@Floppy@mastodon.me.uk The other seven are still working through their inbox and so haven't had a chance to answer the survey.
@Floppy the other 7 didn't see the survey email amongst the clutter, or were too stressed to deal with it.
@Floppy so 70% think an organized inbox would make their mornings /more/ stressful?!?
Happy to keep mine disorganized then
@Floppy
43 % of us have seen it.
@Floppy that is an odd thing to show. ‘Well done you, most people don’t care’
@wamonite exactly!!
