@SecurityWriter TBH I've never found a very good way to clear the bloat without rooting the phone. There are loads of ROM images out there, but IMHO the best option is to install a completely vanilla Android and only add the services you want.

@kevie @SecurityWriter sadly that's not viable on all devices, and the custom ROM availability isn't that great when it comes to Samsung ones, but it's always worth trying out
@kevie@mastodon.me.uk@noodlejetski @SecurityWriter it isn't universal, but most of the mainstream devices have vanilla Android images available. Sadly there is no perfect solution.
