I can't help but show off this leek that I grew. Look how perfect it is and how much of the nice white bit it has!
Picked from my garden and stir-fried on the coldest night of the winter so far. 5 metres from vegetable patch to wok. I love having fresh homegrown food, especially at the time of year when I least want to go out shopping. Totally worth the effort to grow.

@flowti that’s lovely! How did you get so much white? I try hilling but just end up with mud filled leeks.

The odd leek got a bit of soil flicked into it over the course of the year but 9/10 are pretty clean.
