"Don't Cry" is a song by American #hardRock band #GunsNRoses, two versions of which were released simultaneously on different albums. The version with #theOriginal lyrics is the fourth track on Use Your Illusion I (1991), while the version with the alternate lyrics is the 13th track on #UseYourIllusionII (1991). Only the vocal tracks differ, and even then only in the verses; however, in those verses, not only are the words entirely different, but the meter.

My son bought this from a used bin while we were out this morning, and asked if we could listen to it together.
It’s the first Ozzy album for his collection, and I couldn’t be more proud.
He of course loves “Crazy Train”, but as soon as he heard the first few notes of “Dee” he instantly picked up his guitar and started trying to figure it out.
“Who’s that, Dad? Who’s playing that?”
“That’s Randy Rhoads, son. He was incredible. He died in a horrible airplane accident.”
“That’s a beautiful song.”
Sure is, my boy.
Sure is.
Ladies and gentlemen… all aboard.
The crazy train has left the station, and my son’s Ozzy journey has begun.
Safe travels, son.

Crazy, but that′s how it goes

Maybe it's not too late

Our next Self-Titled Summer spotlight is on number 335 on The List, submitted by mfennvt. This is the great debut album from the power pop group, released just months prior to the album with "I Want You to Want Me". Did you know they're still going strong? Catch them as the opener on Heart's upcoming US tour this fall!

Happy listening!
BLUE MURDER
Blue Murder
1989 Canada promo pressing
I rescued this from a thrift store today. The cover and inner are badly weathered, wilted, worn & torn, but the record, although very dusty, is in near-mint condition.
I also grabbed it because I’m very unfamiliar with it, having never heard of it before. Apparently, Blue Murder was formed by former Whitesnake and Thin Lizzy guitarist John Sykes. It also features Carmine Appice on drums, so I figured it was worth a dollar to check it out.
We’re about to find out what kind of hair-tastic hard rock is contained herein.
After a good clean, of course.
