#Zotero7: #Zotero, redesigned, the biggest update in Zotero’s 18-year history and a major leap forward in design, performance, and functionality.

If you're an #academic or just publish things, Zotero is an amazing #Free and #opensource #ciationmanger that will whip up your #ciation or #bibliography with ease. Highly recommend this application if you are in #PhDlife or working on your Masters or #PhD #Dissertation!
So I have a working example of a parent item for which I have both a PDF and an ePub.
ePubs are exactly where I thought they'd be, in their own folders in
/Users/ComputerName/Zotero/storage
it's just that the context menu for the parent item reveals where the PDF files' folder is, you can get to the ePub's folder thru the context menu for the ePub file.
Removing Zotfile.
YMMV considerably depending on how you store files. I use native Zotero file storage NOT linked attachments. I only use Zotfile to rename attachments which is now core functionality.
(If you use linked attachments because you use Dropbox or other cloud storage then there are tiny horizontally oriented badges on the file icons.)
I think this is for pdfs and ePubs.
So if you have dark mode on (either automatic from your OS level setting or at the application level) you can toggle dark mode on and off from the View menu in the reader view.
However, if you have dark mode off in Preferences this setting is greyed out and unavailable, which is a little odd.
There's some more settings for how ePub text appears directly in the reader view too via the "Aa" icon.
Re-upping my little thread on ePub settings tips for the newly released Zotero 7
I published an article called “My New Bookmarking Strategy (featuring Zotero 7)”
