@berndchen Oh, AI muss in vielen zumindest MINT Jobs ein Core Skill sein: nämlich um einschätzen zu können, was #chatgpt und Konsorten überhaupt sind und leisten können. Leider habe ich das Gefühl, dass eben gerade dieser Skill oft nicht existiert und die chatbots kritiklos eingesetzt werden und man sich dann wundert, was für ein mist rauskommt.

Das zeigt sich schon darin, dass das vermutlich nicht in dem Sinne im Report gemeint ist. 🙄

Don't get me wrong: I'm not positioning myself strictly against #AI.

On the contrary, I sometimes find a quite good brainstorming partner and critic in #ChatGPT. However, I'd begging you and advocate for a second thought about what you'd gain at what cost before prompting.

I'm not someone to point fingers and blame developers for mistakes they made, but if I run into incomprehensible code and the author says "I dunno what the code does; I just asked #chatGPT to generats it", I'm gonna be pointing lots of fingers. Six on each hand at least. #ai #dev

Since I already complained about (local) #AI and failing to generate #Elisp code for me: #ChatGPT successfully helped me write two elisp functions that are actually working today.

Seems like the current cloud AI is really better than my local AI approaches although privacy as well as the environment are harmed. 😔
