I was going to move on to a new subject today but entirely coincidentally my brother, who is currently visiting Slovakia, yesterday sent me a supply of extra photos of lovely old Skodas. This is the 422 Tudor from 1930. Note that this car is right-hand drive. In those days Czechoslovakia drove on the left. These are from a small but exquisite Skoda museum my brother chanced upon in Trenčín.
Interesting that the emblem goes that far back.
Seeing the radiator cap like that makes the modern 2D emblem more sensible. I could never quite work out what it represented. Now it’s obviously stylised wings.
@snaptophobic @lionelb Yes, I like the old grille mascots but they're not very practical. The Skoda emblem is usually described as a winged arrow - you can see the arrowhead if you look closely.
