Report after 2 months with a Kindle Scribe.
Probably only of interest if you read a lot on tablets, rather than other e-ink devices, and are curious about what a big Kindle is like.

@d6y reading now, have you tried the remarkable?
@jonoabroad no I have not. Have you? What's it like?
@d6y it's faster and nicer than the boox.
It's larger than a kindle, I like that I can sketch things, that said it doesn't help me draw any better.
I enjoy it, I need to get a workflow together to get content on and off it,as you describe in your post.
@d6y I tried a Remarkable that someone brought to the Farm. It's good! He had the stylus in a Lamy pen housing so it was nicer to hold. I'd have to neaten up my handwriting a bit for it to recognise mine, but my handwriting is atrocious so I don't think that reflects badly on the Remarkable. I'm very tempted by it but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Interested to hear it's good for you, @jonoabroad
@paulsilver @jonoabroad Thanks Paul! Having a nice pen sounds good — seems you can use those with the Scribe too (which is an odd concept for me as in my life things tend to need an apple logo in order to function!)
Handwriting recognition on the Kindle is via a "Convert text and quick share" menu to your email account.
I just re-tested it, and it sent me a text file and searchable PDF. I may have been too harsh on its abilities, but I don't seem to use that functionality.
this is what remarkable has also, it is about as useful as understanding my voice - the only things that understand me are apps I havent' asked to start :(
