For #nanogenmo 2016 I attempted to generate a novelisation of A.I. Artificial Intelligence by using an AI image captioner on 5036 stills from the film. https://barnoid.org.uk/ai_ai_by_an_ai/
Today an excerpt from the resulting novel is published in Output: An Anthology of Computer-Generated Text 1953-2023 https://mitpress.mit.edu/9780262549813/output/
The book is full of great examples of generative text (and Tay) from many talented people. Very glad to have my nonsense in among them.
In the UK this is a good place to get a copy: https://www.hive.co.uk/Product/Lillian-Yvonne-Bertram/Output--An-Anthology-of-Computer-Generated-Text-19532023/30366365
And I'm doing it again with current tools to compare the results. https://github.com/NaNoGenMo/2024/issues/14 #nanogenmo
My new AI generated novelisation of A.I. Artificial Intelligence is complete. The text is more coherent than the 2016 version, but I don't think I'd say it's better. https://github.com/barnoid/AIAI2 #nanogenmo
@barnoid That is amazing and also terrible.
@barnoid A very strange read isnt it? Seems very meta, about scenes but with no understanding of their meaning, as if written by a alien who knew our language but nothing more about our civilisation, which i suppose is actually the case
