Spent the morning trying to help a young neighbour with what looked like a panic attack. He thought he was having a heart attack although he ended up running to Barts Hospital. They have run various tests and he has been sent to the Royal London Hospital.
Panic attacks are hugely distressing but rarely life threatening. He is 26 and works in tech, travels a lot. He is Indian and mum visits now and then and fills his freezer with home cooked food while his usual diet of deliveroo ceases.
After being checked at Barts the the Royal London, a panic attack was confirmed. He is home now feeling his normal self but taking the week off work and making appointments to help himself sort out the whys and wherefores and avoidance of future episodes if possible
