@regordane @adelinej @kagan @cykonot @servelan I don't think so. If the discussion showed me anything it's mostly that people really like to jump on anyone they see as a target.
Which is exactly why I felt the need to bring up a more charitable interpretation in the first place.
@kyonshi @regordane @adelinej @cykonot @servelan Holy fucking shit, are you really trying to act like you got dogpiled *after admitting you were wrong*‽
I was as gentle with you as I could be, and now I don't see why I bothered. To recap:
1. The kid made a terroristic rape threat
2. You defended him
3. People pointed out that's really dodgy
4. You hung onto your wrong interpretation for as long as you could
5. You finally got incontrovertible evidence that you were wrong.

@kyonshi @regordane @adelinej @cykonot @servelan
6. Someone advised that next time, you realize your error more quickly.
And then you dig in and go "this is why I had to say that wrong thing in the 1st place"?!?!
Seriously, WTF is wrong with your thinking?
Someone who truly wanted to get better would be thinking, "Wow, I sure went on for a long time trying to defend someone who didn't deserve it, how can I avoid that in the future?"
I don't care what your explanation is anymore. Bye. 2/2
