A couple of quick thoughts about Twitter.
I still have my account there but the site is now worse than ever.
Partly this is Musk.
And partly it is because many now just use it to criticise others also on there, without saying anything that interesting outside of the platform.
Twitter is dying - though it may take time to die.
I am thereby working on my Mastodon, Substack and LinkedIn social media accounts, as alternatives.
Time for new adventures.
@davidallengreen I spend more time here than there, and it seems whenever I go back, the people I follow are posting less and less, and the responses to posts are increasingly vitriolic.
There definitely feels like there’s less of interest than there was just 6 months ago.
I just wish a few more of those I want to hear from would at least post here as well as there. There was a service that took care of dual- posting but I expect the recent API changes have probably put the kibosh on it.
