Huh, I thought it would be simple to trigger a automation at the start of the week but unless I'm missing something there's no built-in trigger for days, weeks or months.

@viper539 I definitely feel like I'm missing something obvious. I don't see a weekday condition in the UI. Am I missing an integration?

@jtonline and it was the lack of any sort of calendering that put me off HA. Well, that and the fanbois who insisted I was wrong for wanting to use dates and times for scheduling in the first place.

@NAB there is now at least a local calendar which is a big improvement but no sign of a simple day of week trigger that I can see :(

@jtonline add a schedule helper and automate on the state. Or add an event to a local calendar that starts at beginning of the week.

@balloob thanks, a "start of week" schedule helper is the the option I'm currently leaning towards
