It was our daughter's first night in her own flat last night.
She seems to have been absolutely fine (as expected). The carers were helpful - one took her there and helped her with some shopping and making her bed. The evening carer was initially insisting she'd stay until midnight, but actually left at 10:30.
There are unresolved issues with the flat (washing machine not plumbed in, grab rails not fitted, and one radiator being temperamental, and a few other minor things) - but the daytime carer got onto the landlord and they should be sorted before she has two overnights there next week.
She's back at the hospital this morning for her ward round
It's all looking good.
@MikeFromLFE that must be relieving!
@CatherineFlick Definately!
There's a smidgen of something that says 'we've been here before' - but honestly it does feel very different this time.
