One way sexism appears in the workplace is when maternity leave is considered some sort of holiday or break by male colleagues....
So, I love this graphic telling it how it really is (which is circulating on LinkedIn).
Next time, a colleague make the mistake of think maternity leave is a holiday, print this out & stick it on their desk.
@ChrisMayLA6 having a kid is a choice. Also, men work more hours on average, so feeling a little entitled to a break isn't out of this world, Chris.
@BatkoMakhno @ChrisMayLA6 maybe you should advocate for better parental leave provisions for men then! You can enjoy the holiday too!
Also don’t forget someone has to wipe your butt when you’re old and can’t do it yourself. If everyone chose to not have children you’d be very unhappy! So be grateful that someone else is picking up the tab.
