@scribe More electricity is generated not by gas (or other fossil fuel), 62.6% (75% to you) over the last year in the UK, and that will get better. That that is generated by gas is done considerably more efficiently than any fossil car could achieve (less transmission losses).

@scribe Not even close on the manufacture to carbon emitted from fuel burning in a fossil car. That'll be somewhere less than 25%. The figure for electric cars will continue to get better as more renewable generation comes in, not an option for fossil. Plus recycling is a thing.
