We have that in the UK for all electrical waste, we take them to a recycling centre. However... The ideal is reduce, REUSE, recycle.. so I am so tempted to frame the broken bits as a piece of art for my wall :-)
It will go well with the old RAM chips I turned into fridge magnets

a ddr2 Kingston RAM module used as a fridge magnet to hold paper. A child's times table test sheet and childs drawing are secured this way
