Yesterday my son lost his wallet on a London bus
This morning the wallet was pushed through his letterbox, intact, with a note attached which just said. 'Mate, you left this on the bus, good luck'.
It's great to be reminded that there are good folk .
This gives me hope. Maybe there are enough good people that we will make it.

My phone fell out of my pocket while I was sleeping at my gate at schiphol airport, didn't even know it was gone til I got to boarding, they announced it and I looked. Someone turned it in!
@Wendelin @Christo_459 I dropped mine in San Francisco airport once. Reported it. My name was called as plane door was about to close, en route to Amsterdam, someone boarded and handed it to me.
@Christo_459 @petes_bread_eqn_xls May the person who did that reap the benefits of their kindness many times over.
@Christo_459 The kindness of people - how lovely. Thanks for sharing this.
@Christo_459 I had exactly the same a few years back. They still are there! I found out where he lived and brought him a reward.
@Christo_459 wohoooooooo there is still good in the world!
@Christo_459
Makes me feel a lot more hopeful about the fact I have my post code and house number and message saying "If lost please return" on my smart phone lock screen.
Its good to know some folks out there will do the right thing if i were to lose my phone.
@raymierussell @Christo_459 FWIW I have read that experiments with dropped wallets have shown that those with a baby photo are more likely to be returned.
@Christo_459 I was in a grocery store when I realized my bankcard was missing.
A few days later I received an email from a stranger who had had a doctor's appointment near where I live; she found my card in a subway's ticket machine.
Turned out that in a rush to catch my train, I forgot to take it out of the machine (it's released AFTER the ticket comes out fcol).
The finder looked up my name online, found my website and contact information, and gave me her address so I could pick it up.
@Christo_459 Good to be reminded that there is good out there
@Christo_459.
They want us to believe that most people are evil and individualist; being a vilain seems now to be cool.
Nice behaviour is not noticeable, so thanks for sharing this.
@Christo_459 A few days before Xmas, 2006, my compact camera fell out of my backpack while changing buses in downtown Helsinki after a very long day. Inside were pics of that morning's school Xmas party where my son, 6, had been on stage. I was devastated. The following morning I called the Lost&Found office. And miracle: someone had in fact brought the camera in, right away, the evening before! No name or phone number, so no way of thanking them. But it was my best Xmas present that year.
@Christo_459 Most people are good people!
@Christo_459 Oh! how! cool!
