Being offended or angry at the Latin prefix "cis" is like being offended by the Latin prefix "pre", "semi", "tri" or "uni".
It ridiculous.
@WrenArcher Words acquire meaning through usage. For "cis" to acquire an unambiguously neutral meaning, it just needs to be found in many contexts where criticism is not being leveled at cis people for something (for example for thinking that "cis" is a slur).
@fgbjr @WrenArcher you mean the unambiguously neutral meaning it has had in all the other fields it is used in for a very long time.
The people who attached negative sentiment to it, cis people, can't complain.
