@solderandchaos this mentality encourages politicians to be the least shit option as opposed to a good option. There is no point in winning today's elections at the cost of tomorrows democracy. Politicians need to know that being the least shit option will not guarantee success. Lets expect more from our politicians instead of framing protest non-voting as apathy.

The thinly-veiled metaphor is incomplete. There are plenty of other life rafts to choose from, but only room to launch one. The captain insists everyone has to go in the ancient one that provides material support for genocide. The boat then sinks due to the weight of everyone who didn't think the life raft would make it to shore, and everyone in the raft gets dragged down with it because the captain refuses to start treating the sinking ship like a threat and never cuts ties.
@knightly666 @solderandchaos if you think the only other seaworthy alternative to the ancient raft that isn’t harsh enough on Israel is going to somehow be less disappointing, you aren’t acknowledging reality of the world we live in. any complaint you have about Biden is 100x worse with Trump, and those are the only two choices you get, period, EOS. Do some work for next election cycle if you want someone better, but don’t pretend voting for someone else does a thing
