By the way, if this isn’t part of your conference prep, it should be. It hasn’t gone away, it’s just got ignored.

@solderandchaos as should be wfh for 5 days before and N95 when travelling and at conference

@solderandchaos@mastodon.me.uk I've got a conference next week, so I'm doing that. Also packing a lot of N95s. I'll be the only one there wearing one, but it's what I can do.

@solderandchaos COVID test or pregnancy test? Because you don't want to discover you are pregnant after traveling to certain states.

@solderandchaos for a moment i thought, pregnancy tests? how hard are these people shtupping each other at these conferences?!?

@solderandchaos had a small party with 4 guests last weekend. Everyone got tested upon arrival. Two positive.

@solderandchaos This is an inconclusive test result, if your tests are like my tests

🤞

@solderandchaos Great job making sure you're keeping others safe. 👏👏

I wish there was a way to force others to do the same for you and me.

@solderandchaos god you are so right. Conferences are actually a nightmare for me as an at risk person. Thankfully the most recent one was 30 min from home but I really should've taken some emergen-c. Im lucky the surgical mask kept me safe. Anyways next time hopefully the universe won't be casting spell of explode ur lab so I'll have more time to prepare

@solderandchaos I test ahead of every doctor's or hospital appointment. I test for a week after people come into my house unmasked (despite request & me wearing a mask) like the 2 workmen from a utility provider last week.

I need to know that I do not pass it on if I get it (which I haven't so far). Not to my vulnerable family nor to strangers. Any one of them could be vulnerable, too. Any one of them could develop Long COVID.

@solderandchaos I’d love to hear how many people have tested positive after they gleefully posted their unmasked conference photos in the past few weeks and months, but it seems this is the one photo they all forget to share—before or after.

@solderandchaos @SallyStrange And travel prep! We never leave for anywhere long distance without testing first.

@solderandchaos Absolutely. We stocked up on tests while insurance still paid for them, and will test regularly on our trip to Winnipeg for @pemmicon
