Mum's been having a clear-out, lads

There's 5 boxes of stuff here, expect more photos in this thread soon

I have dug into that bag and found some incredible stuff. First up: the UK run of Secret Wars II, with one issue missing; a few issues of Spider-Man and Zoids, which I presumably started buying because it carried some Secret Wars crossovers; and a selection of 80s Marvel comics, including Iron Man #200

Next: 12 issues of magazine and a few other skaty things

A few issues of The Games Machine

And the real prize: Crash issues 27, 30-57, and 59-65 (by when it had been reduced to a flimsy pamphlet with a cover-tape), including the Crash-branded 3d glasses from #46...

... a load of Crash supplements, including a guide to the 1988 Earl's Court PC show; and the free-with-Crash issue of the short-lived LM magazine. I might get some pictures of the inside of LM later

Chloe Kelly fan account

A whole load of Beanos from 1979 to 1986 (which I've just sorted into issue order), including issue 2000; a few Beano summer specials; and some Beano annuals

An original F-7 tabletop video game, which is apparently 40 years old. It wants 4 C-cell batteries, of which I have none. It does have what looks like a DC jack though, but no indication of polarity. Dare I plug it in?

Found some batteries, lads. What are the odds of this actually powering on?

I also have this, even older, console. It takes the same batteries as the Firefox. Place your bets...

It powers on and partially works, but the control buttons are banjaxed

More box-digging today, and look what I found:

That's the England 1982 World Cup strip, so this must all be at least 41 years old

For those of you under the age of about 45, Subbuteo is an ancient word meaning "FIFA, but shit"

@ldodds there's another one too which I'll test in a bit

@pikesley It does look more like a game of luck rather than skill...

@jezhiggins the game is utter bobbins, but it was 1983, we were more easily pleased back then

@pikesley
I bought some of those from a lady at the children's playground last week.

She sells C cells at the seesaw 🤣
