So far, the best thing about having an EV is the cost per mile, obviously.
The next best thing is fellow EV owners being bamboozled when they tell me that I'll love how fast the new car is, and telling them that actually, my new EV is slower than my modded polo gti was. No, not just top speed, but acceleration too. 
@matstace Look, my EV is the slowest version of the model. It still has better acceleration than any car I've ever owned, perhaps better than any street-legal car needs.
Yeah I'm one of those people who are all for mandatory speed governors/limiters.
