@jsbilsbrough @Floppy I know you didn’t ask me, but I’ve got an Ender 3 so my opinion is:

The Ender 3 is the Linux of printers. Kinda hacky, very configurable, tons of nerds online sharing tips, very affordable.

Anything made by Bambu is a Mac. More expensive, but “it just works” and is easier for a beginner or someone who wants to spend more time printing and less time tinkering. We have one at my job and it’s great.

Honestly not trying to sway you either way, just sharing my experiences 😊

@njf @Floppy all good, I would have just messaged James if I didn’t want more options.

My dad has the original ender 3 and we’ve had a lot of fun with it - auto levelling is drawing me to this one.

Bambu aren’t exactly on my list given their antics with updates.

@jsbilsbrough @Floppy completely fair, yeah if you’ve got experience with an Ender already I think that’s a killer deal for one with some upgrades

@njf @Floppy I did it - looking forward to this!

@njf @jsbilsbrough absolutely agree, for nerds like us, the Enders are hackable, upgradable, and certainly good enough for getting into the hobby. I think I would buy another if I ever decided to upgrade... so yeah, looks decent!

@jsbilsbrough @Floppy

It depends on what you want to do with it.

@mindbuilder @Floppy really to get my teeth into printing, been using my dad’s Ender V3 but it’s several hundred miles away !

@mindbuilder @jsbilsbrough that’s a bit far to go for a filament change.

@jsbilsbrough @Floppy have been using a V2 Neo for several years now and it is a wonderful starting printer. Cost was very similar when purchased and it's still running great.

The quality of prints is definitely not top of the line but for the price I am completely satisfied.

I did need to spend some time calibrating flow rates and offsets and found it much easier to do with some prints designed specifically for that.

Have never used any other printer so my experience is very limited.

Good luck.
