Why has my cat started to grab my face? Biscuit's 9 years old, suspected Bengal mix (intense, constant need for attention, high energy, stuck to me like velcro) and in the last ~6mths has started reaching for my face with his paw during his (many) cuddles. His cuddles already verge on the obscene with his insatiable need for closeness. This is a new behaviour. Why now, after 9 yrs?
This cat is a lot of hard work but so loving I'm really grateful for him. But he loves *hard* (headbuts, vigorous hard licking) and often (if he's awake, he wants my attention and will scream, jump, headbut, paw, bite, self-harm to get it). The paw on face thing seems to be him seeking to bring me closer to him: he's always tried to lick my face. It's not a significant problem, I'm just curious about a new habit.
