I made this on my visit to Wells last Sunday. It was, as are most of my better photos, seen while walking back to the car.

I love a day of harsh light and dark shadows.

The room is dark, an effect heightened by the dynamic range of the camera, with a small patch of light harshly highlighting a woman sitting at a table towards the back of the room. The woman is holding her head in her hands and is looking down at the table top. In the foreground you can just make out the outlines of two people having an animated conversation. Hanging from the ceiling of the room are vintage style lightbulbs.
