@billvinson In regards to your own toot, I think it's a great teaser. Introduces the setting, characters and just a hint of plot.

I'll probably skip the rest of the marketing as I'm interested already. Don't need anything major spoiled.

@UKFilmNerd I'd agree it's a good teaser as it gives just enough of a feel for what's coming. For a Marvel fan, I want to know so much more, but this will have to do for now 😉

@billvinson I'm sure Marvel will release loads of stuff as the release gets closer. 😁

@UKFilmNerd
Well, looks like we're picking one of the big stories.
I'm curious if we're hiding a surfer somewhere.

@UKFilmNerd I REALLY hope Disney doesn’t mess this up. FF were my favourite team as a child. Predicting it now though: this FF isn’t in the regular MCU universe and the early-60s world we see in this trailer is going to get devoured by Galactus!

@TenebrisNox I've been out of the Marvel world for several years now but I guess that somehow, the F4 is going to be bought forward so they can appear with other heroes? Or is that just a multiverse jump.

I'm out of touch.

@UKFilmNerd Just guessing - they are going to loosely adapt the Jonathan Hickman Secret Wars storyline from about 10 years ago. Universes crashing into each other, the FF “survive” their destroyed reality, Doctor Doom becomes godlike and manages to save existence by recreating a new MU out of the fragments remaing (a bit like the regular DC “Crises”). Gives opportunity to resurrect dead characters, choose the “best” version and recast some.

@TenebrisNox Thank you for explaining. Thats quite a plot.

@UKFilmNerd You really haven’t missed much being out of touch. When it became obvious that Tony Stark’s death was going to be Peter Parker’s “great responsibilty” moment, Disney had strayed too far from why the comics origin involving Uncle Ben was so important.

@TenebrisNox personally, I felt the whole thing ended perfectly with Endgame. Ten years of films coming to a conclusion.

Everything afterwards feels like a replication, trying to achieve the "endgame" effect again. I lost interest, especially when they started pouring multiple television shows into the mix as well. It was too much.

@UKFilmNerd It's Disney trying to squeeze as much as they can out of an IP (isn't there a recording of Bob Iger talking about "mining" IP?). Done the same with Star Wars, Indy and will undoubtedly do with Alien and all the others. I've always given stuff a chance up until a year or two ago - but what's being churned out is SO awful I can't face it. Skeleton Crew!!! Disney just doesn't get the more nerdy (and faithful) that a franchise gets, the better it'll do. Doesn't need to dumb down.
