@Floppy Carole Cadwalladr's talk has more than 800 thousand views in 6 days. Her talk about Facebook's role in Brexit has 1.1 million views in 5 years. It's already a measure on how powerful it is.
Indeed, a speech full of courage and hope for the nightmare we are all watching live.

Good and very brave effort, though. We should support and amplify this #TEDtalk by Carole Cadwalladr.

@floppy we have been warned, again and again of the coming dystopia. By people like her, by Shoshanna Zuboff and so many others.
At some point the warnings will stop and it will be game over.
We cant let that happen. The people of the #fediverse know this better than most, but we must find ways to reach much wider audiences.

@Floppy Yeah, it's incredible that TED let that shite performance happen. All that nervous giggling and aimless waffling was so distracting, I've no clue what she was trying to say.
I want to make this super duper extra crystal clear: I'm not blaming Cadwalladr one iota. She tried to say something important, and it was clearly very difficult. But TED is supposed to coach speakers and help them convey their message elegantly. TED failed completely; this talk was abhorrent.
