I've known about the Bottsand for ages - it's basically a floating German pooper-scooper for oil slicks - and I still can't work out if it's an act of genius or an office joke that went too far.

Anyway, once it's bored of mopping oil it folds back up to become a more conventional looking ship again.

People are mentioning RP FLIP, so just in case anyone wants to know what that's all about here's an image...

It's apparently considered pretty poor form to press the "rotate" button when the captain is using the heads.

RP FLIP - an acronym of Floating Instrument Platform - rearing upward as the other end of the ship ploughs downwards. Eventually it'll be floating vertically in the water.
