Built a Joraform composter today, the “Big Pig” I’ve had on back order for months. Good solid construction job, gonna be nursing the RSI for a bit! The compost from this will go into our heap compost along with chook poo and bedding and grass cuttings for incredible compost. #gardening #compost

We have a couple of cheaper tumble bins. They're uninsulated so there's a big cook off in the spring when it warmes up. No stink, but a lovely fauna helps the composting along. Best composting device ever.
@tallastro yeah I’m excited! We only have a tiny bin for a family of four that only gets taken fortnightly, so we have to find ways to minimise our garbage. We tried indoor electric “composters” but they kept failing due to what I’m now convinced is a fundamental engineering flaw with the grinder.
@tallastro bokashi didn’t really do the quantities we needed and our heap compost bin has rats in it which I’d like to discourage!
@CatherineFlick Looks like a tombola to me! Have you checked that there isn't a cheap bottle of wine with a raffle ticket sellotaped to it anywhere nearby?
