Been helping a friend through a Pip claim.
Applied:
2 weeks for forms to come.
3 months for claim to be approved.
Applied for a mandatory reconsideration over the phone:
4 weeks for text message informing it has been received and that the reconsideration will be looked at in the next 3 months.
I'm convinced it's this convoluted by design to make people give up on their claim.
@30yrdscreamer It's long-winded, isn't it? I know someone who had their leg amputated and after all the toing and froing ended up in a hearing. To which DWP still wanted to stop his claim. The judge said for him to go home as he would approve it. How did that end up in a hearing?
@Beclfc it's painful, and now they're concerned that the amount of back pay will exceed the savings limit to be able to claim UC.
@30yrdscreamer Yeah, sounds right. You're not allowed savings.
@30yrdscreamer @Beclfc sounds like they dont need to worry about that. This is from a fb page about claiming disability benefits.
@treehugger cool - thanks for that
@30yrdscreamer then MR denied after they don't look at evidence and nine months for a tribunal.
