Got a parking fine.
£100
For parking in a 'clearly marked permit holder only' space. Except I wasn't, I was parked in a clearly marked Patient Parking space at a private hospital.
I phoned the hospital who told me that this happens all the time and that they'd cancel the fine - they didn't check if we were legitimate patients.
I can only assume that they, and the parking firm - Parking Eye - make shit loads of cash from this ruse.

@30yrdscreamer These parking companies are experts in the scam game. As soon as one new rule is brought in by the regulator they find two new ways of circumventing them.
I seriously doubt that civilisation would collapse if they were banned.

@MikeFromLFE I'm glad it was easily sorted, but felt really guilty cos I borrowed the car (I don't need one so don't have one). My friend then phoned me telling me they'd had a fine.
A quick search brings up lots of complaints about ParkingEye for the overly dodgy practices.
