Rebecca Nordquist<p>Hello train travellers, a question: I´m travelling from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh next week with LNER. Do I need to calculate any time for security checks?</p><p>I am used to just walking op to the platform and boarding, but I ask because I was taken by surprise when travelling in Spain this past fall to find security checks meant I needed to be at the station a lot earlier after nearly missing a train- trying not to make that mistake again.</p><p><a href="https://akademienl.social/tags/rail" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>rail</span></a> <a href="https://akademienl.social/tags/LNER" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LNER</span></a> <a href="https://akademienl.social/tags/edinburgh" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>edinburgh</span></a> <a href="https://akademienl.social/tags/train" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>train</span></a> <a href="https://akademienl.social/tags/TrainTravel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TrainTravel</span></a> <a href="https://akademienl.social/tags/UKTrain" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>UKTrain</span></a></p>

Continued thread

Crazy train journey (still not finished), had to get on the rear 2 carriages (with bike) as train splits, only to be told that the front carriages train had been cancelled, so us in the rear had to move to the front... Huh? #train #trains #uktrain

Working out where my bike reservation is through a process of elimination; East Midlands Railways don't bother to label their coaches, but luckily "Coach C" will be the middle of this 5-car service counting from either end 😆
