In "Garth Marenghi's Darkplace" (2004) and "Adolescence" (2025) I don't think I could've picked a pair of more different programmes to bookend my daily viewing this last week-ish.
If you take the one-shot nature of "Adolescence", with all the challenges they had to overcome to pull that off, and imagine a production where they just could not avoid any of the challenges getting the better of them (but released it anyway), you'll have a sense of "Darkplace".
Thoroughly enjoyed them both.
