Lovely long #run this morning, mostly along the #ottawariver (& the #commandabridge has re-opened!) #ottawa #dailrun #ottrun #running

Quick canal loop, squeezed in after working on the allotment and Stevie's cat scrap. Moving better - still way off best form/pace/endurance. #running #ukrunchat
Just think: the average person who isn't into #running or hiking has absolutely no idea why a $20 pair of socks is totally worth it.
I think I'm going to become the Johnny Appleseed of getting normals to experience the plush luxury of Finer Socks Club.
Or maybe we should keep it to ourselves and be a sock oligarchy. IDK.
Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run today - not my best outing, 83:31, 8:22 pace. Had a restroom emergency at mile 4 and had to wait 3 minutes in the line - my moving time was just at 80 minutes, pretty close to goal.
We had 13 runners from the 'hood this year - it's great to live in a place where we can have fun together and look out for each other too (before/after) #running
An easy run of an hour would have become a 10km pb. That seemed very unlikely to me and it was. My Garmin Fenix 7 appeared to be off track again and had calculated 2km longer than the actual distance
An export / import of the GPX recovered the distance but I become more and more disappointed with Garmin. Crashes, wrong distance, there always seems to be something wrong nowadays.

We went easy and without a pause this time .
My thoughts to @officehippy who is somewhere in the middle of English night having a lot of fun
From Mica to Antoine, a 180 look from Saltese.

A nice steady 8 miles of #Running today. Felt much better when out on the roads still not 100%
Solid Sunday run today
5.7km because #Garmin 10k plan suggested a structured workout and it turned out to be good
10’ warm up
1.5 miles / 2.4 km easy run
0.5 mile / 800m all out
10’ cool down
It’s interesting because my cool down pace after the all out is pretty much the same pace of the easy run and it felt like something relaxing. I’m sure there is some interval training science there.
Fun experiment. I did very well and I am happy with today’s run.
10K Evening Run
And there was the final 10K for today. A faster 10K. Now time to see if I can slowly wind down
#NYRR #RunAsOne race to support the Labreque Foundation for #LungCancer. It's not a smoker-only disease. Get screened!
Thank you to the amazing volunteers

I managed to find 1000m of elevation gain on my local trails, without any hill reps or retracing my steps. Super slow pace - goal was to run the downhills hard to condition my legs for Eryri descents, then keep the rest in zone 2, so I walked a lot of the climbs.
Training plan here is following Koop's "four disciplines of ultra running", namely hiking, flat running, uphill running, and downhill running. I'm making sure I get a good spread of each.
I did a long run this morning. It is pretty around here when you get away from the roads and this was mostly cross-country.

Today's trailrun up to Prabé above Sion. The super steep ascent is rewarded with this view.
