“The Federal Communications Commission's approval of #CBS owner #Paramount's $8 billion merger with Skydance came with a condition to install an ombudsman, which FCC Chairman Brendan Carr has described as a "bias monitor." It appears that the bias monitor will make sure the #news company's #reporting meets standards demanded by President Donald Trump.”

RIP, #CBSNews.

After two seasons of this show, #startrek will be gone. They are still not sure if they will produce another movie within the Kelvin timeline.

Star Trek Legacy, a fan favourite, will also not happen.

#Paramount is not treating this franchise with respect.

This is how STAR TREK dies ...

"If you can’t get the balance sheet on a marquee show worked out, that’s a YOU problem. As I have said for the last week, other late-night shows have made cost-cutting concessions, but Colbert wasn’t given a chance to defend his corner and present ideas for savings. So basically, the balance sheet is a mess, but you’re not interested in ways to fix it. Gotcha."

click.actionnetwork.orgKeep Stephan Colbert on the air CBS is canceling The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, despite it being the most-watched late-night show in America and one of the only ones gaining viewers. Their excuse for ending the show is “finances” but we know the real reason is that just days before the announcement, Colbert called their $16 million payout to Trump “a big, fat bribe.” And then CBS pulled the plug. What CBS didn’t expect was the backlash. People are furious, not just because a beloved show is being canceled, but because of what it says about the future of dissent in American media. When a host criticizes the network’s backdoor deal with a former president and is taken off the air days later, that’s a threat to every voice willing to challenge power. That’s why we must build grassroots pressure on CBS, Paramount, and Skydance from every angle. Late-night comedy has long been a space where truth can be spoken plainly and where movements for justice have found national platforms. Losing Colbert means losing one of the few remaining voices that centers the marginalized, questions the powerful, and refuses to sanitize politics for primetime. CBS needs to feel this, from the media, from their audiences, and from the public. Click ‘START WRITING’ to sign and send a direct message to CBS CEO Joseph Ianniello, Skydance CEO David Ellison, and Paramount CEO Brian Robbins demanding they reverse course and keep Stephen Colbert on the air now!

This is going to sound like I’m working for #Paramount … but I promise – it’s just my genuine love for all things #StarTrek.

And if you’re a fan, you probably already know that “Strange New Worlds” is made by folks who truly love Trek.

Season 3 just began, but we also got a sneak preview of something special planned for Season 4 …

no, it’s not “Pigs in Space,” but the #JimHenson Creature Shop will be lending a hand (many hands, actually).

I. Can’t. Wait!

New post: The Paramount/Skydance merger's now approved, with plenty of knee-bending to Trump. I take a look at Paramount+ and CBS News alternatives. Also, $1.5 billion could pay for *8* Disney/Pixar animated movies (not adjusting for inflation or marketing costs), vs. propping up a single nearly-30-year-old cartoon like "South Park."

I don't think anyone is reporting on this lol.

Also, no one is reporting that David Ellison is owner of Skydance.

This is the son of Larry Ellison of Oracle. A twitter investor and was on coup phone calls with Mark Meadows in 2020.
