Ruth Cheesley (she/her)A day of new experiences!First ever scuba dive at Los Cristianos in Tenerife with the lovely Guillaume from Lov'Ocean!We had a really wonderful afternoon, completing two dives and learning all the basics from underwater clearing your mask, recovering your regulator, and controlling buoyancy. Heather EvansI’ve only been online a little while today after I’ve had a lovely 2 days away in Aldinga. I’m back at my brothers & my car is mostly packed to head home in the morning. Not looking forward to the trip so much as being back in my own little part of the world and only home for 4 nights before I start a 5 day house sit 😳 - what was I thinking after a month away🤪. Heather EvansAnother lovely day in the city, wandering & using the free bus to see the sights & places I wanted to see. I walked from the station to Chinatown & the Central Market then jumped on the free bus & did a big round trip & my goodness there’s some lovely homes in North Adelaide. Had a lovely walk beside the Torrens river as well. I have memories of Elder Park from when my family arrived in Australia in 1959, we stayed at the Elder Park Hostel where the Festival Centre now stands. We didn’t stay there long, a week or two I think but boy what a difference all these years have made & it does look great. A very good day, nearly 10km walked today & no sore feet. Heather EvansWhat a day & I had a lovely time. Came home tired & footsore & I wouldn’t mind doing it all again tomorrow - wearing different shoes 😁. The trains from here run about half an hour & I jumped on & rode for free into town spoke to customer service & I now have a metro card that is free for me to use on weekdays between 9am & 3pm. Easy peasy. Walked from Adelaide station down to the botanical gardens with a side trip into the museum to see the photographs of the year, which I loved. Some fabulous photos there. Spent a long long time wandering the gardens, they are beautiful & if you know me, being out in nature is my happy place. Once I was done there I walked to Rundle Mall & had late lunch in a cafe in one of Adelaide’s beautiful arcades.
