John Honeyman's magnificent Barony North Church on Cathedral Square in Glasgow. Built in 1878, it's designed on an ornate Italianate style. This is a church which always seems to get overlooked, in favour of its Medieval neighbour, but it's a gorgeous building in its own right.

Get ready to flex your trivia muscles! Hubworld is bringing its popular videogames pub quiz to three cities for HubQuiz Spring 2025 – a three day celebration of gaming knowledge. This isn’t your average pub quiz! Expect a creative combo of trivia and game show elements, creating a unique, entertaining and fun night out.
Hubworld is also calling on local artists to participate in an ‘Artist Spotlight’ initiative, a recurring feature of the Dundee Games Meetup. This is a bi-monthly event that aims to showcase and celebrate artists within the Dundee games community by providing them with a paid opportunity to display their work (more on this below…)

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or industry newcomer, everyone from across the games ecosystem is welcome to join the fun and battle to prove their team is the brainiest in Scotland.
Assemble your crack team of up to six and prepare for battle! Doors open at 6:00 PM, with the HubQuiz kicking off at 7:00 PM.
And what’s a quiz without prizes? Hubworld is bringing a haul of goodies, including a coveted Studio Trophy, game keys, goodie bags, and their own special brand of ‘chaotic prizes’. With more to come…

The initiative is open to games artists across Dundee and the surrounding areas, regardless of style, medium, or skill level. Selected artists will be paid £150 for their work, and their art will be featured on the event’s page, newsletter, and website. Artists retain complete ownership of their creations.
Priority will be given to applicants who are active in the Dundee games community and have previously attended events. Further details about the project will be provided during the selection process.

The sundial in Glasgow's Botanic Gardens. Despite our prevailing climate, Scotland has a surprsingly long history of sundials going back to the 16th Century. This includes obelisk sundials, which are unique to Scotland.

The Italianate Lismore House on Kelvin Drive in Glasgow. Built in the 1860s, it looks out over the Kelvin Walkway and the West End of the city.

Today at the Kibble Palace glasshouse in Glasgow's Botanic Gardens.
A section of abandoned railway bridge running alongside the River Kelvin at Kelvindale in Glasgow. This was part of the line which ran between Anniesland, Maryhill and Glasgow City Centre via the Botanic Gardens, Kelvinbridge and under Kelvingrove Park.
'The Tree That Never Grew' on Hunter Street in the East End of Glasgow. This sculpture was created in 2010 by Jennifer Grant based on the words of poem telling the story of Glasgow written by Ingrid Lees in 2004.
