Folks it is now ONE HOUR until #MONSTERDON the weekly monster movie watch party. If you don't want to see a bunch of goofy toots about a monster movie, now's a good time to set up a hashtag filter.

I firmly believe "Director's Cut" only very rarely means, "this is the movie the way the director envisioned it, but they had to make it shorter for The Studio. Now you can see the real art unimpeded by capitalism." Almost always it's the exact opposite, "The Studio would like to milk this succesful film a bit more so they have added scraps of footage that were rightly thrown away. Please buy the Director's Cut, which is an artless version ruined for and by capitalism."

Fortunately you have photogenic movie stars more than making up for lulls in the script. Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell blast you with charisma while you wait for the "Start" in this stop-and-start production. Kogonaga's least effective feature movie. But at least you'll want to take a trip to Burger King after the movie.
