Each session is completely hands on, meaning you get to experience each and every step involved in the jewellery making process yourself, though of course I'm there every step of the way to guide you and lend an extra pair of hands if you ever need it. They are also a LOT of fun! Whether you come as a group, a pair or on your own, there's always plenty of laughs, encouragement and "oooo, let's see yours, wow, they are amazing"s all the way through. 🤗

"I'll warn you now, I'm not at all crafty or creative, so you're gonna have your work but out with me" (or words to that effect).

This is the most common greeting I get when people arrive for my jewellery making workshops! And yet this is just a selection of the fabulous jewellery made over the past few weeks by these (mostly!) apparently uncreative people. I'd say they did pretty blummin' marvellously, wouldn't you?! 🤩

Closet 4 evolution continues, and the crémaillère hanging system continues to be very versatile. In addition to the saw till (with accompanying accessories shelf), I’ve added a drawknife till and a brace/drill till (with shelf for auger bits; custom boxes still to come).

These tills use double slats with ‘half-lap tenons’ on wider braces.

The whole closet is adjustable. No glue or screws. Upcycled palette wood.

I can finally see what I have!

It's time to install the turtle deck on the glider fuselage.

The octagon steel frame was useful for sanding and painting...rotating the fuselage to allow work on the underside. The octagon gets in the way of installing the turtle deck.

Previously I could grab the empty hole at the nose of the fuselage and raise/lower onto various support stands. Not anymore. The motor/spinner have filled that hole and they can't handle significant side loads. So, I need help to raise and lower the fuselage, especially now that it holds all the equipment.

The red steel frame jack is merely a large lever with a sling to support the fuselage. It's big but has lots of mechanical advantage so I don't have to exert much force.

The shark fin antenna is now only a couple inches above the floor.

Now I can install the oxygen system and add some closure panels.
