Please just let me make the task bar smaller again
In contrast, it's pretty much all I'm thinking about

Qt 6.9 is an excellent release. I'm looking forward to make use of the new features in some of the applications I make :)
Qt 6.9 cross-platform software development framework is out now with improved emoji rendering, 3D graph transparency, and performance boosts across all platforms.

Qt 6.9 is now available, with new features and improvements for application developers and device creators! As some of the highlights, upgrading to Qt 6.9 brings emoji rendering in existing applications up to the latest standards, order independent transparency for Qt Quick 3D, significant enhancements to address modern OAuth2 requirements, and multiple new performance features across all platforms and devices.
@protonprivacy is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Linux Desktop). Right now today, the Mozilla VPN frontend for Linux is better. The code is available and easily buildable on Linux but there are very strong concerns around privacy and some of those vpn routes including Mozilla as an organization being ripe for capture, if that isn't already the case. This looks like it would be a fun gig but probably not best for a US based citizen/programmer in our current environment. Sharing because this one is important (i use Proton and you should too, especially if you're in the US), I would be more than happy to cosign for anyone of my peers in the EU, Caribbean here.

Pushing update to 1.4.2 beta, addresses a ton of the feedback I've received.
Notably it also resolves non PKCE non 4.3 Mastodon server login issues.

The less.... forgiving part of me wonders if this wasn't the plan from the get-go.
Set it to 'Verified' at launch. Get that £££ in. Then set it to playable when the initial flood of interest has died off a little.
Using (an uptodate) KDevelop is a handy IDE for Haiku (as there are others like the native Genio IDE). :)
The #QScrollBar widget is a scroll bar that enables the user to access parts of a document that is larger than the widget used to display it.

The #QScrollArea widget is used to display the contents of a child widget within a frame. If the widget exceeds the size of the frame, the view can provide scroll bars so that the entire area of the child widget can be viewed.

I need to get ridge of my 36 years old #Toshiba T1600 laptop and a couple of #C++ #Qt #labview #programming books which I probably never read. Anyone interested?
@Krita This screenshot was from building Krita in Terminal, while using DESTDIR it looked like not all was in place, when packaged to has the more native Haiku look and feel, thanks for the icons by 3dEyes!
A digest would be really good, but even that is almost certainly too much for most prospective users. How much background politics to we expect someone to digest before they get into a new platform?
It's not as if it isn't going to affect new users, either, so we can't in good conscience tell them to just not worry about it.
Some of the more popular instances are blocked wholesale by many other instances, for reasons which take significant time investment to start to understand.
You may find you need to move instance in order to talk to people you want to talk to, etc.
We need some tie breaking votes! (preferably for Majora's Mask lol)
