Mad quiet here of late. Been expecting lots of visitors but there're so very few!

Has the arse fallen out of the #NC500 ? Has the bubble burst?

I thought I was done with #filmphotography at least for some time. I decided to pull back on my hobby projects, except the useful ones like car rebuild. But seing #wolfennc500 just casually lying in DM for ~9€ per roll got me triggered. I was clean for less than 6 months and here we go again :/
UPD: seems like #nc500 hashtag has some meaning other than #wolfen film. Well, I'm keeping it anyway :D

Best pressie of the year and bought at the distillary when we did the #NC500 in the summer - I've held off drinking it so my wife could wrap it up for Christmas. Do I wait for a special occasion before opening it or do I make opening it the special occasion?

we have now reached the stage here in the north ,where we have to put up signs asking people bag excrement and bin it ,,,AND not dog excrement ,but human excrement .Struie is a famous spot ,but this is happening everywhere ,every road however remote has at least one spot thats been used as a toilet :(
Its worth pointing out also public toilets here are free and theres a lot to reach Struie you will have passed at least one well marked loo

As @barbaratate has pointed out to me, perhaps a more workable (and more practical for local communities because we all know tourist tax will be sunk into Inverness) tax for visitors to the #NC500. Interesting the suggestion is not to fiddle with small amounts of money - go big or don't bother.

The Highland route has become massively popular since it was launched in 2015, but that has brought problems of its own. Campervan update
We made it home. Nothing fell off, broke or stopped working!
Can thoroughly recommend the #nc500 and Scotland in general. Contrary to what some are saying about nc500 travellers, and we were welcomed everywhere we went - we took it steady and made sure not to hold other people up. The scenery is magnificent, the roads 'interesting', the beer awful and the whiskey wonderful!

Campervan update
Left the #NC500 days ago and are now back in England. Coming down through the lakes it would have been rude to have not popped in here.

#nc500 day #3 and not a good one - passed by a motorcycle accident on a narrow, steep and winding A-road. It was quite clear the body lying on the road wasn't going to get up again. Not good. Very not good.

300 miles north of home and on day #1 of the #nc500
Van is almost complete with a little fettling to be done over the next few days.

NC500 are affiliated with Galbraiths, the property sellers, so ultimately they don't care about residents.
