Now that it's out on digital, I can say with confidence that Superman has a lot of what Guillermo del Toro would call "eye protein" (rather than the more traditional "eye candy"). The sets and set dressing *tell* you things about these characters & their environments. Lois's apartment. The Kents' house. The Daily Planet. Lex's office. Hawkgirl's apartment.

So much information just passively present.

Went to see Superman (2025) again last night. I love this movie even more now. It more than holds up to multiple watches. And, imho easily ranks up there with Superman (1978) and Superman II (1980). Having said that, James Gunn hits you in the feels like few (if any) other superhero films ever have.

Go see it again.

As a guy with a Superman tattoo on my forearm and I can easily recommend the new movie. It's not a perfect film or the best superhero movie ever made, but it's fun and it is well cast and acted. It's a solid picture and a good time. It also has a corny kind of hope and glee that I think people could really use right now.

It also doesn't waste anyone's time by retelling his origin story again. That might be its biggest weakness. Glossing over too much.
