Adrian McEwen<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mstdn.ca/@paulywill" class="u-url mention">@<span>paulywill</span></a></span> It's to attenuate line-level audio down to mic-level (he says, as if he really knew what he was talking about)</p><p>Basically we have two speaker systems we use on our Friday night social <a href="https://mastodon.me.uk/tags/FolkRidingBikes" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>FolkRidingBikes</span></a> rides, and I have a Rode wireless mic.</p><p>We're (ab)using the mic to be an audio relay between bike-at-the-front and bike-at-the-back but the line-out from the speaker is too high for the mic input on the Rode and it was distorting. This lets us dial down the level to give us good tunes 😀</p>
