I caught a glimpse of this bird of prey flying nearby #Faversham Creek yesterday afternoon. It came closer than this, but I fumbled with my phone's zoom, and it was gone before I sorted it out Google Lens suggested it might've been a golden eagle(!), but I think it was much more likely not #birdsoftheworld #birds #UK

Big storm surge coming down the east coast of UK soon luckily it’s less than the 2m predicted a few days ago and is occurring at neap tides… (if it were 2m on top of a spring tide of 6m we’d be a lot more worried!)

Here, for all the beer drinkers amongst you, is a stained glass window from the Shepherd Neame brewery in Faversham in Kent. (UK) They proudly proclaim they are Britain’s Oldest Brewer. I took this shot on a tour of the aforementioned establishment, a few years ago. There was beer tasting afterwards and jolly good it was too.
