I've been experimenting with not 'liking' posts here.

With no algorithm, I guess the purpose of liking is to give (+ve) feedback, but it's ultimately a relatively shallow form of 'engagement'. I've therefore been trying to exercise discipline in only using the more meaningful types of engagement, ie boosts/reposts and replies.

I'd recommend giving it a go for a week, if only to become conscious of how you use likes/boosts/replies in general.

Not long ago, I designed and facilitated an online workshop that was marred by technical difficulties. Luckily, it didn't matter.

It truly was a pleasure - and fun! - to do some outreach today via being invited to have a table at a middle school career day...The area of town and being near a military base means there was a wonderful variety of students...
I took 'surplus' (!!) maps and the students who were inclined chose a map they liked and a spot on that map - and together we cut out that place into a circle and used a button maker to make them a pinnable map...
There was some time - if the student was open to the idea - of talking about the maps and spatial data behind them as we made the button - be it a coastal Oregon topo map button, an Indonesian geology map button, a US/Mexico demographics map button, a San Fran earthquake map button, and many more...

Seitdem unser neuer Oberbürgermeister den Turbo für das Klima einsetzen will, geht vieles geschmeidiger. Er hat vor kurzem die jungen Leute aus Ulm zu einem großen Hearing eingeladen, um zu hören, was sie sich wünschen. In diesem Hearing hat auch der Klimaschutz eine Rolle gespielt.
Der Zug in Richtung Zukunft hat sich in Bewegung gesetzt. Du brauchst nur noch einsteigen. Komm doch einfach zu uns und mache mit!
Wir treffen uns montags um 20:30 zum Online-Plenum.
Manchmal wird daraus auch ein Live-Plenum.
Wie wäre es zum Beispiel als Klimafluencer:in?
Oder als Plakat-Pat:in?
Kannst du mit Social Media umgehen?
Oder ganz klassisch das Protokoll unseres Plenums schreiben?
Oder aber mit den Mitgliedern des Gemeinderats sprechen, um die Wichtigkeit des Klimas überall zu betonen?
Es gibt viele Aufgaben. Komm und packe an - wir brauchen jeden Kopf und jede Hand! Wenn Du magst, kannst du auch bei einer anderen Organisation im KlimaNetz Ulm mitwirken – Hauptsache wir ziehen alle am gleichen Strang
