Donald Trump announces, if he returns to the White House, every current and new federal worker will have to pass a test his administration will create. https://rumble.com/v2i82f8-agenda47-liberating-america-from-bidens-regulatory-onslaught.html
@w7voa , if it happens it would be a loyalty test to Trump.
The Federalist Society grooms the careers of lawyers starting in law school
Somewhat like how mafiosos become "made men"
This sounds very similar to the evaluations Communist Party members were required to pass before promotion. Nomenklatura

@VolokhC@liberdon.com This compares the #federalistsociety with the Soviet Communist Party practice of identifying promising civil servants to ensure the Nomenklatura were politically correct. Any comments?

Trump wants to establish the federal government as a system of patronage for the GOP. The Federalist Society is already well along in this process.
For example, you can't be a Republican nominee for the Supreme Court without being a member of the Federalist Society.
Several red states have similar requirements for working in state government. You must be a member of the Federalist Society to be an Attorney General in Texas.
@Npars01 @Dr_Elizabeth97 @w7voa @VolokhC@liberdon.com There are two wings to the Republicans: culture warriors and libertarians. The #federalistsociety is on the #libertarian side, broadly favouring immigration, gay rights, end of drug war, reduced military spending and police reform. They are also ambivalent on abortion. These are all issues where they disagree strongly with the Trumpist culture warriors. (And this is an overly brief summary of a complex picture)

The Federalist Society is a fascist organization funded by Koch. As Maddow says, watch what they do, not what they say.
The Federalist Society is the Birchers in disguise.
The Koch Agenda is as follows:
It hasn't changed since David Koch wrote it for his 1980 run for office.
It is every bit the horror now, as it was then.

Oh quite: extremist libertarian, but *not* culture war. I'm just saying, don't conflate the two merely because Trump (culture warrior) outsourced judge-picking to the FedSoc (which he'd probably never heard of before).
@tokensane @Dr_Elizabeth97 @w7voa @VolokhC
This is hair splitting.
Trump, #KochNetwork, and the Federalist Society are all facets of the same anti-democracy movement funded by the oil industry.
Libertarianism just uses culture wars to achieve fascist ends.
Just, an FYI, I don't participate in dissemination of Russian talking points or Republican disinformation.
I will be blocking you.
